Having been Nominated as a Candidate for the position of Councillor to represent North Ward, vice Peter Dignan Esq., elevated to the Mayoral chair, I beg to solicit your vole and interest in my favour at the approaching election. I pledge myself to the interests of economy and good government. and shall oppose the harassing of tradesmen and others by the vexatious enforcement of bv-laws from which no good purpose can acciue. In all other Borough matters, the interests of the Ratepayers are identical with my own, and I shall use my beet endeavours to further them. The Polling will take place at the City Hall on WEDNESDAY, 2nd of June, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. when I trust I may have the assistance of your vote and personal inlluence.
