‘You say, ’ remarked the debonnaire debtor, ‘ that I am owing more money than anybody else that your firm have on their books ?’ ‘Yes, sir’ replied the collector. ‘ Anil that I am about the only person with whom they have trouble in getting their money ?' ‘That's what they told me.’ ‘Young man, I like your looks, and I’m going to be a friend to you. If I were to pay up, the chances are that your firm would find collections so easy that they would discharge you.'
