BOWLING.

RFMVERA bowling club. ON Easter Saturday, April 17th, on the Remuera Green, there were full rink competitions for four pairs of bowls, presented by Messrs George Conrt, T. Finlayson, F. W. Wingate and Colonel Dowell. There was a very large attendance of members and spectators, and great interest was taken in the proceedings. Lunch was provided by the club, and afternoon tea by the ladies. The results of the competitions were as follows:— No. 1 Rink (First Draw). CoL Dowell v. Mackie Gamble Stevenson G. Clerk McLean Dingwall, skip U Holden, skip , 33 Colonel Dowell, Gamble. Bruce, Ruddock, a bye. Final. Colonel Dowell v. On the 20th head Ruddock’s team led by one point, but on the 21st head Holden’s team put in three, thns winning the final by two points.
