Dear Bee, July 7 The weekly meeting of the ladies’ kahanga club was held on Monday at Mrs Sinclair Thomson’s, Lees-street. Mrs Bowden was chairwoman for the evening, and the programme was very much enjoyed by everyone. Mrs Sinclair Thomson wore a handsome black satin, with sleeveless bodice of yellow silk, large puffed sleeves ; Mrs Bowden, black corded silk lavishly trimmed with chiffon and jet; Mrs Dowling, dainty yellow brocade blouse, with shoulder cape edged with chiffon and passementerie, black satin skirt: Mrs Rattray, black silk, dainty lace cap; Mrs Sale, terracotta silk blouse trimmed with jet, black velvet skirt; Mrs C. Butterworth, handsome pale blue chin 6 silk blouse with large collarette of green silk edged with guipure lace, green velvet skirt; Mrs Gibson Turton, black merveilleux prettily trimmed with jet. small cream lace cap; Mrs Denniston, black silk; Mrs Mayne, pale pink brocade blouse, green velvet skirt; Miss Forde, heliotrope crepon prettily trimmed with purple velvet and guipure lace; Miss De Salamos, sage green velvet blouse; Miss Cargill, claret-coloured shot silk blouse trimmed with cream insertion; Miss Murdoch (Oamaru) pale blue silk blouse, black velvet skirt; Miss Rattray, green shot silk blouse ; Miss F. Rattray, pale yellow silk blouse with yoke of muslin and insertion, black velvet skirt: Miss I. Rattray. b<ne silk blouse, black crepon skirt; Miss R. Reynolds, pale yellow silk: Miss B. Farquhar, mossgreen velveteen with beautiful shoulder cape of cream lace: Misses M. Sise, E. Ulrich, N. Haggitt. H. Driver. Stephenson. K. Stephenson. N. Farquhar. Roberts, Lily Roberts.
