GRAPHOLOGY OR PEN PORTRAITS.

Any reader of the New Zealand Graphic can have his or her character sketched by sending a specimen of handwriting with signature or rum de plume to MADAME MARCELLA, ‘ Graphic ’ Office, Auckland. The coupon appearing on the last page of cover of the Graphic and twenty-four penny stamps must accompany each letter. ‘Electra.’ —You possess a most amiable disposition, full of thoughtfulness and consideration for others, yet I see indications of much latent force of character in your capital Ms. At present you are a little diffident, and require more persevering effort and tenacity of purpose ; but your mind is clear, your comprehension quick. You are highly conscientious, and have only to exert your power of will to be firm. You are impulsive and rapid in decision. In affection and friendship you are steadfast and sincere, but you occasionally weary of your occupations and pursuits, and like them to have plenty of variety. You are fond of society, and possess a sunny and cheerful temperament, hopeful but not too confident, and very generous and unselfish. You converse well, and enjoy lively repartee, but you much dislike censorious gossip, and if your discriminative judgment be sometimes at fault, you invariably err on the side of leniency, although your standard of honour is high, and you would never forget to be just. You have a taste for music and poetry. Possibly you do not thoroughly appreciate the benefit of laborious ‘ practising,’ but you enjoy listening to melody. Discord and contention are particularly distasteful to you, and, if possible, you are too much in favour of ‘peace at any price.’ Your spirits are equable, neither buoyantly elated or easily depressed, and you do not ‘ worry ’ either yourself or other people unnecessarily. I think it very probable that my delineation may be partly a prediction of what your character will be, as I think you are another of my juvenile correspondents, but if this be the case I am convinced the traits are all perceptibly indicated.—Marcella.
