LAWNS & LINKS.

GOLF. QOLF on Friday in Christchurch was rather damped by the drizzly aspect of the weather, though very little rain fell. Tennis at the courts being dryer ground, was pretty lively. Clear and calm and bright, it was an irresistible magnet to draw forth all ablebodied folk to enjoy the lovely Wellington air. A number of people patronised the links at Miramar, where odd and desultory matches took place.
