MR TRASK TO MISS LAING.
The marriage of Mr Arthur Francis Trask, second son of Mr F. Trask, Mayor of Nelson, and Miss Laing, daughter of Mrs David Grant, was duly celebrated by the Rev. J. H. Mackenzie in the Trinity Presbyterian Church. A large number of people were, naturally, present.
The bride, who was given away by Mr David Grant, looked exceedingly well in white silk trimmed with lace, veil anti orange blossoms. Her bouquet was a pendant one of chrysanthemums and maidenhair.
Her three bridesmaids — Miss Trask (bridegroom's sister), Miss Keel (bride’s cousin), and Miss Smith of Wellington, were prettily gowned in cream crepon, trimmed with mauve silk, velvet hats with blush roses. The bridegroom’s present to each was a pearl and rubybracelet.
Mr Arthur Trask was supported by Mr 11. Lane, Mr Sidney Trask, and Mr C. Fraser also taking charge of the bridesmaids. Mr R. Snodgrass, junior, officiated at the organ.
The wedding breakfast was given to relations and a few intimate friends. Toasts and good wishes rained on the young people, with a telegram from the Premier and Mrs Seddon.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Trask left about eight o'clock in the evening for Wellington. There were many lovely presents.
