AUCKLAND BOWLING GREEN. THE opening of the Auckland Bowling Green, which took place recently, was favoured with beautiful weather. There was a very large attendance of members and friends, and the afternoon was in every way a most enjoyable one. Some excellent instantaneous photos were taken by Mr Hanna, of Auckland, and three of these are reproduced on page 224. KOKOHIHI GEYSER. This is one of the many wonders to be seen at that nest of strange sights, Wbakarewarewa Its action is explained in the picture. The clouds of steam which arise are precipitated in a sort of shower bath of hot water.
