Dear Bee. January 25. I hasten to give you a description of some of the very pretty gowns worn at the CELEBRATION OF THE HON R. J. AND MRS SEDDON’S SILVER WEDDING. I cannot recollect them all. but believe I can rely on my memory for the most inipo lain ones. Mrs Sed lun looked very well in a hand&ome black Mik dress rich y trimmed with jet. amber, and chiffon: Miss Phoebe Seddon was mucnadmired ina lovely cream China silk and cream rubes; Miss Louie, ta-teful pink silk, black velx el trimming ; Miss Mary Stuart Seddon, simple paie blue dr* ss with pink silk ; Miss May. pretty Empire dress with yoke and cuffs of lace: Mi*s Clara Wood (Palmerston North), in a pretty loose pink dress; Miss Elsie Hennah (Ballarat), yellow dress with ribbon trimmings; litt’e Miss Ruby and her younger b- others formed the home circle. Of the guests. Mrs Bon r wore pale blue silk with lace trimmings; Mrs Kerr, brown»iik ; Mrs Chesney, an extremely pretty dress of green veivet. petticoat of green silk with square train: Mrs Woodthorpe, grey coloured silk: Mrs Myles, lemon-coloured silk beautifully brocaded (a very effective costume): Mrs McLean, brown satin with velvet trimmings and corded with blue (verv striking): Mrs Guinness, black satin ; Mrs (Captain) Brown, black silk with lace flounc- . relieved with pink ; Mi s Aitken, pale blue silk trimmed with bronze brown xelxet. large puff sleeves of veivet (very’ pretty); Mrs Snow, black lave over red xelyet ; Miss Guinness, black, with pink trimmings and fi«<ral design: Mrs Rassmussen looked very nice in a pretty green velvet; Mrs Cunliffe in black ; Mrs M. Hannan and the Misses Hannan (two-, wore back; Mrs J. Davidson. bia< k satin, Mesdames Byrne, Brown. Benyon. Stains, McKay, and many others. Among the gentlemen were Hon. J. Bonar (M.L.C.I, Hon. J.
