Dear Bee, January 3. POLO. A polo match was held at Stock's Ground*, and was a great success. There were a fair number of on-lookers, but the day was chilly, which doubtless kept a number from attending. As usual. Mr Ernest Tanner’s good playing was much admired. OI K PEOPLE. Mr J. A. Fraser has gone for a trip to Timaru. Mr W. A. Robinson has gone to Christchurch. Miss Elsie Williams has gone to the Bay of Islands to visit some of her relatives. Miss Bicknell has gone for a holiday to Oamaru. Miss Mary St. Hill has returned from Christchurch looking much better for the change. Mrs Tipping has returned from the south. Miss Kissling is stopping with Mrs Galwey. Miss Annie Percy has returned from Australia, and is looking very welL
