At * Stadacina.’ Remuera, a large party was met by the hostess, whd was looking bewitching in white satin covered with black lace, black velvet beb6 sleeves; Mrs Dargaville. stylish bouton d’or silk with handsome black lace trimmings; Mrs Dignan. looked beautiful in cream silk with maize-coloured lace frill and silk Empire sash; Mrs W. Bloomfield, fascinating in white silk with pink plush bebe sleeves; Mrs Lucas Bloomfield, pretty black lace dress with blue ribbons: Miss Minitt. brown silk with yellow plush sleeves covered with brown spotted tulle; Mrs Ford, black silk relieved with white lace; Mrs Thomson (Green Lane), black brocaded silk covered with flowered lace; Mrs McMillan, a handsome bronze d’art plush, light yellow silk let right down the front: Miss McMillan looked well in a pale pink striped dress; Miss Heywood, gamboge cashmere trimmed with black velvet; Mrs A. Tauranga Messrs Abdie, Pelley. etc. The SMALL FRY of Mount Albert have had quite a gay time lately. Mrs Wilks (Sherbourne) has had weekly dances. There were three dances last week. Their names arc as follows : Misses Steele, Bartley, Wynyard, Patterson, Bush, Alison, Duder, Sullivan, Gerrard, Fountain, Inglis. Graham, Francis, and Baker. Miss Minnie Goldie, as Prince Poppetti, in hunting costume—olive green plush doublet with red jewelled vest, black velvet knee breeches, black stockings and top boots, cocked hat and feathers, dirk at left side, and horn under right arm. As a Valet:—black velvet suit with white lace trimmings, large hat of black and scarlet feathers, scarlet Court cape and sash, black stockings and Court slippers. Miss Goldie (at the Ball), pale blue silk doublet with orange-coloured sleeves, black velvet knee breeches, blue silk sash, cap and white feather, and maroon plush cape. Miss Morrison, as Dandini, a valet, black velvet suit with white lace trimmings, large hat of black and scarlet feathers, scarlet Court cape and sash, black hose and Court slippers. As a Prince, suit of black velvet and white satin, long Court cape, black and white and black feather hat. Miss E. Macarthy, as Clorinda, Turkey print gown with muslin yoke, grey hair, corkscrews, lace handkerchief and a novel. At the ball, pale green and pink shot silk dress, sleeves and trimmings of tinselled fishnet, feather fan and ribbons. Miss Lily Baker, as Thisbe. Turkey print gow r n with white muslin yoke, lace handkerchief, golden girdle and scarlet fan. At the ball, pretty pale blue muslin with sateen front of same colour, silver trimmings. Miss Aubin, as Cinderella (1), old brown velvet dress with white sleeves and vest, showing torn white petticoat and ragged sleeves, red velvet cap. (2), Turkey print dressing gown which slips off, showing dress. At the ball, canary silk dress with net sleeves and frill, jewelled crown and long tinselled veil. Miss Inglis, as Buttoni, dark red velvet costume with white lace trimmings. Court cape and cap of same colour, old gold sash. Mr Fred Bower, as Baron Balderdash, black velvet costume with skirt to knees, black hose and Court shoes, gray hair and beard, and glasses. Mr S.
