Among others present at the two performances of the NILE-STREET EAST AMATEUR DRAMATIC CLUB were Mrs Hudson, black silk; Mrs Thornton, black lace, green silk yoke and puffed sleeves; Mrs Howie, rich black satin ami lace; Mrs Hamilton, black evening dress; Miss Moddings (Christchurch). lovely gown of pale pink cashmere and broche silk ; Miss G ribbon, black lace over green silk, a most becoming gown, and made o /’ Empire; Miss Gibson, black lace, pink ribbons ; Miss Rochfort. black evening dress; Miss Woolcombe (Timaru), heliotrope and black evening dress ; Miss Morrison 'Mastertoil), cream cashmere ; Miss Porter (Gisborne), cream gown, long creamy cloak; Miss Ledger, black velvet skirt, black and gold corsage; Miss E. Edwards, brown tweed; Miss Hamilton, fawn gown. At Mr and Mrs Jack Sharp's I ‘ROG RESKI V E EUUII RE last Tuesday evening there were present Mr and Mrs Percy Adams, Mrs (J. Watts (Blenheim), Mr and Mrs Sharp, Mr and Mrs R. Kinudon. Mr and Mrs Booth. Mr and Mrs Pitt, Mr and Miss Jones. Mrs and Miss Mackay, Dr. and Miss Roberts, Mr Fox, Mr Garrett, Miss Pitt. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES. Mrs Watts returned from Blenheim on Tuesday, and Mrs Binncy is again in Nelson after her visit to the Hutt. Mr McLean. who has been away for the last eighteen months, is also in our midstonce more, and although welcoming him we shall all greatly miss Mr Fox, the popular railway manager, who has been relieving Mr McLean.
