Sealy, dark brown costume trimmed with brown fur; Miss Roberts, in grey, with red waistcoat, black hat; Mrs Porter, deep red gown, elegantly trimmed with black silk ; Miss Parks, grey gown and hat; Miss Levien, grey tweed, black velvet putted sleeves and frill, large black hat with featheis ; Miss K.chmond, pretty brown costume brown velvet hat; Miss C. Richmond, dara blue serge, black hat with autumn leaves; MissjGribben, stylish blue serge, black hat with jet spray and strings; Miss Broad, black cheviot serge trimmed with velvet and jet, black straw hat; Miss Morgan, elegant grey costume, large grey hat with just a touch of red (a stylish and becoming toilet) ; Miss Jones, blue cloth braided, black velvet hat; Miss Meddings, very dark green tweed with puffed sleeves, and frill of black silk, large black felt hat with feathers ; Miss Mackay, brown costume, black hat with red poppies ; Mrs Thornton, lovely brown tweed gown, the skirt made very full, and the corsage trimmed with velvet, small brown velvet bonnet with pretty blue knot. There were present at Mrs '1 hornton’s PROGRESSIVE EUCHRE party Miss Meddings (Christchurch), in cream veiling; Miss Morgan, a lovely gown of dark green with Swiss belt and trimmings of gold lace; Miss Gribben, in bright red, with Watteau bow ; Miss Jones, black evening dress; Miss Rocbfort. black Russian net over silk ; Miss Pobei ts, cream brochg trained, with huge puffed sleeves of black velvet; Miss Broad, black evening dress ; Miss Raynor, grey gown, full pink silk front; Mrs Thornton herself looked exceedingly well in black lace and silk, with green silk yoke and puffed sleeves. Messrs Thornton, Lunn, Fernie (Wellington), Preshaw, Broad, Cooke, Bk infield, Woodward, and Fox.
