Dear Bee, May 16. I am sorry to have to begin my letter by a confession of great scarcity of news. But these things will happen — even in the best regulated families. I have not had the measles, but have been out as much as usual, that is. to every possible gaiety, and herewith send you all the news I can. We were deeply grateful for MRS C. C. MCMILLAN’S CHARMING AFTERNOON TEA. and those who were present enjoyed it immensely. I was so sorry I could not go. but I have obtained a capital account of it from various sources. Mrs McMillan and her three daughters made really excellent hostesses, and did everything possible for the comfort and pleasures of their guests. The hostess wore a handsome brocaded black satin with lovely cream lace down the front.
