All their Nelson friends are glad to sec them again, as they are great favourites here. Miss G. Pitt returned from Marlborough last week, and seems in excellent health and spirits. Miss Quick, from Wellington, is at present staying with Mrs Mcßae at Richmond. M-s Andrew, from Masterton, is also at Richmond, the guest of Mrs Elder.— . —

Andrews is looking young and bonnie in a cardinal cashmere dress, black bonnet trimmed with black lace and a large spray of canary-coloured poppies; Miss Alice White has returned from Wellington, and is wearing such a pretty costume of brown diagonal cloth, the frock made en princesse, and three-quarter cape lined with pink, hood and high collar, fawn felt hat trimmed with ribbon to match the costume, and pink and brown bird.—V—Mr and Mrs A. E. Hyde, of the Grove, Picton, left for England per Ruapehu. Mrs Hyde, who is a diploma ed M.D., has obtained an appointment in one of the London Hospitals. Miss Hyde follows as soon as she can dispose of her brother's property at the Grove.— —ln Hastings : Mrs E. Tanner looks well in a navy blue skirt, yellow striped waistcoat jacket, stylish hat with scarlet pompoms ; Mrs Graves wears a stylish black gown, boa. large black hat with feathers ; Miss St. Hill looks well in a dark gown, red Tudor cloak, large hat with feathers; Mrs Tipping has returned from the South and is looking very well indeed, and is wearing such a stylish costume, a sort of grey tweed gown with scarlet waistcoat braided with black, handsome fur boa, very becoming little black bonnet touched up with red.— — In Napier : Mrs Fenwick looks well in a grey gown, scarlet, waistcoat, small scarlet bonnet; Mrs H. Baker looks stylish in a navy gown, Tudor cloak with red hood, small bonnet with red wing ; Mrs Hoadley wears a very becoming costume of navy blue serge, black straw hat with scarlet birds; Miss Seymour (Christchurch), is staying with Mrs Margoiionth ; she looks very pretty in a grey gown made with three-quarter basque, black and white Bondstreet hat; Miss Milly Rhodes has gone on a visit to Wellington ; she has been wearing a brown cheeked tweed gown, loose jacket, new-fashioned sailor hat (very becoming). In Wellington: Mrs Travers is wearing a handsome fawn rough striped tweed gown and large black velvet picture hat with aigrettes; Mrs Ed. Reid, brown and yellow corduroy cloth with yellow vest, brown hat with bird and velvet; Miss Hilda Williams, light fawn and cream checked tweed, trained, with vest of fawn silk, shirt front anil tie. and black hat with pompons ; Miss Wardrop. dark green cloth, half the bodice of jetted canvas, black jacket and toque to match; Mrs Smithson (Timaru). a handsome brown and blue tweed trimmed with fur, brown and blue velvet hat.— —ln Auckland: Miss Williamson looks nice in a hand some navy serge, hat en suite : Mrs Seymour George, black corded silk, black jacket and beaded bonnet; and her daughter a stylish gown of grey plaid, sailor hut; Miss Hull looks well in grey cashmere, hat en suite ; Miss K. Chambers-Taylor, elegant costume of black, becoming sailor lint ; Miss Chew, navy serge, pretty sailor hat trimmed with red velvet.
