A 'CUTE BOY.
Jimmy was once asked how he would like to go to a military school. ‘ Not at all,’ was his prompt reply. ‘ Why ?’ we asked. ‘ ’Cause,’ he said, ‘ they hang a fellow up there for little or nothing.’ ‘ Oh no,’ we said, ‘ that can’t be so.’ With an emphatic nod he replied : ‘ Yes, it is ; Mr Fox (his teacher) says so.’ ‘ What! hang a boy ! kill him !’ we exclaimed. ‘ I don’t know about that,’ he said. ‘Mr Fox says they hang ’em up.’ Then it dawned upon us, and we suggested that a boy might be suspended. ‘ Yes,’ he replied, ‘ and what is suspending a boy but hanging him up ?’
