A NATURAL MISTAKE.
‘ Was your father a pirate!’ asked young Fitztop of the girl of his choice at a clandestine meeting, after the old sea captain had urged his exit from the family mansion on the hill by the use of his pedal extremity. ‘ No, my darling,’ was the reply. ‘ Why do you ask !’ • He seemed to be a good deal of a freebooter,’ said the young man reflectively.
