Nurses' Dance

A dance was held m the Nurses' Home, Park Road, on May 2nd, m honour of the nurses who have recently passed the Slate examinations. The decorations had been artistically carried out. both m the lounge and the ballroom, while m the supper room the chief feature was a large cake, made and decorated by Nurse Hobbs. This was later cut by Miss Nutsey, the Lady Superintendent, amid cheers from the nurses. In the lounge, bowls of chrysanthemums and ferns were arranged, together with tall Oriental

vases, containing imitation flowers m rich autumn shades. Lines of lycopodium were latticed across the ceiling of the ballroom and small pink Japanese (lowers were intertwined m an archway at one end. Another room was arranged with tables and cards for bridge players.

Miss Nutsey, who received the guests m a black georgette frock with a deep hem of cream lace, was presented with a bouquet of crimson flowers by the graduate nurses, prior to the dance.
