CORRECTION.
Our attention has been drawn to a statement made on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the Women's Hospital, Crown Street, Sydney, Isolation Block.
The Governor of New South Wales is reported to say:— "lt is interesting to note that the New Zealand authorities have selected Crown Street trainees for all the positions m the St. Helens Maternity Hospitals,"
The fact is, that for the first two St. Helens Hospitals, the one m Wellington and the one m Dunedin, two New Zealand nurses, Miss Wyatt, trained at Napier Hospital, and Miss Holfred, trained at New Plymouth, who took their midwifery training at the Crown Street Hospital, were appointed the first Matrons 25 years ago. Since that time, with only one or two exceptions, St. Helens trainees have filled all the positions,
