MARRIAGES
Sister G. M. Larnach, late of Southland Hospital, was married at Dunedin in November to Mr. G. Millar, of Christchurch. Her home is in Christchurch. A very pretty wedding took place at the L.M.S. Church, Samoa, when Miss Effie Bremner and Mr. Albert Payne, of the Apia wireless station, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony. The Rev. Darvill officiated, and Mr. Hays presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Dr. Hunt, wore an exquisite frock of French ivory georgette designed with scalloped skirt, and richly embroidered in crystal and silver beads. Her tulle veil formed the train, the head band being of orange blossoms, and a shower bouquet completed a very charming toilette. Miss Joyce Bremner attended as bridesmaid, and wore a dainty frock of sea-blue crepe de chine, with a petalled skirt. With this was worn a biscuit crinoline hat, and she carried a shower bouquet of pale pink flowers. Mr. Frank Baker acted as best man. Miss Effie Bremner trained at Auckland Hospital and St. Helen's Hospital, and has for the last twelve months acted as sub-matron to the Apia Hospital, Samoa.
Sister Ruth Smith, trained at Auckland Hospital, was recently married to Mr. Jamieson.
