Marriages and Engagements
Nurse Henrietta Goertz, trained at Auckland Hospital, who completed her training m December, 1920, was recently married to Mr. Mackenzie, Clcvedon.
Nurse (J race W. Hutton trained m Dunedin Hospital, who was attached to the Red Cross during the war and m charge of the military hospital at Arbroath, Scotland, is now Mrs Robertson, of Wromill, Fifeshire, Scotland.
Sister Alice Cornwall, of Greymouth Hospital, was recently married to Dr. Usher, formerly medical superintendent of Greymouth Hospital. Dr. Usher has started practice m Wellington.
Sister Grace Ward is engaged to Mr. Dun sf ord, and expects, when married, to live m the Canterbury district.
Sister Makeig is engaged to Mr. Longs, a returned soldier, who has taken up farming. These two sisters have been running a successful massage establishment m Christchurch, which they hope to dispose of shortly.
Nurse Baker, district nurse, Waiho Gorge, is engaged to Mr. Alick Gunn, a returned soldier farmer of the district. Nurse Baker has been much appreciated m the district, and will be much missed as district nurse, but no doubt as she will be settled there, will still be of great assistance m emergency cases. A cottage is being built, and the Hospital Board hopes
to have another nurse when Miss Baker resigns. We hear later that Miss Baker intends to carry on her work as district nurse after her marriage.
