New Zealand's Population After close on ioo years of settlement New Zea'and's population is just over one million. The birthrate diminished m 1918 to 23.45, while immigration has practically ceased. The wastage of life endangers national survival and the greatest menace of all is the perennial wastage of infant life. New Zealand's future lies with her babies — we must save every life we can. To do this every care must be exercised m recommending a suitable food for infants. In cases where a mother is unable to suckle her child there is no other food so closely resembling human milk as Glaxo. This is because Glaxo is simply the solids of the purest milk enriched with crtam. The Glaxo process makes the milk germ free, and breaks down the nourishing curd of the milk into minute, easily digestible particles, similar to the lactalbumen of breast milk. Glaxo is a complete food m itself, being instantly prepared by the addition of boiling water.
