Monthly meetings have been well attended during the quarter, also the general quarterly meeting.
A Special Council Meeting will be held on October 3rd to appoint a delegate to the meeting of Central Council, and on other matters connected with it.
The Nurses' Memorial Service is being arranged for.
The next quarterly meeting will be called on to nominate Council members for the coming year.
The resignation of Mrs. Moss, who for the past nine years has acted as Hon. Treasurer, was received with very much regret, and Council recorded their appreciation of her long and willing services.
A " War Bridge Party " arranged by Miss Bagley, took place at the Nurses' Club, and was a very pleasant and successful affair, New Zealand gaining the highest number of prizes. The proceeds went to the Garden Fund. The grounds are much m need of improvement, and a beginning has been made, with a stone fence. A new box-room has been evolved, and other desired alterations are m progress. The Club keeps full and busy.
At the last general meeting Miss Anderson, R.R.C., gave an interesting account of the work of the New Zealand Sisters m Egypt and afterwards m England. Miss Anderson was Matron at Hornchurchj She was married to Mr. Eric Roberton, of Stratford, on October Ist.
