The tenth annual meeting was held on December 27th, 1918, and was well attended. Mrs. Kidd presided. Apologies were received from Dr. Coldicutt, Miss Morrison, and Mrs. Ross, for being unable to attend. Minutes of last annual meeting were read and passed. Office-bearers for the next year are : — President, Mrs. Todd Smith ; vice-presi-dents, Miss Ada Taylor and Mrs. Casement Aickin ; hon. treasurer, Mrs. Moss ; hon. secretary, Miss Stewart ; medical members Dr. Maguire, Dr. Coldicutt ; council, Mrs. Hamilton Smith, Miss Gibbons, Miss Rose Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Inglis, Miss Brown, Miss, Wotherspoon ; central council, Miss A. Bagley, Mrs. Kidd, Mrs. W. Oliphant. Miss Orr's resignation in April was much regretted. Her place as vice-president was filled by Mrs. Inglis. Other members added to the council during the year were Miss Coltman, Miss Brown, and Mrs. Avery. Mrs. Kidd then vacated the chair, which was taken by the incoming president, Mrs. Todd Smith, who thanked the Association for the honour they had done her in electing her as president, and hoped the coming year

would prove a successful year for all. She alluded to the glorious news of peace with which we are beginning the New Year, and spoke feelingly of the loss of our nurses through war and epidemic. A motion of condolence to the relatives of those who have gone, was carried in silence, all standing. The balance sheet was read by the hon. treasurer, and was adopted on the motion of Mrs. H. Smith and Mrs. Cope. At the monthly council meeting held on October 9th, Miss Jones gave notice of motion that nurses who have paid Association fees for twelve years be elected life members. The motion was put to the meeting and was unanimously carried. A vote of thanks was passed to the outgoing members for their services during the past year ; also to the hon auditor, Mr. Aickin, and the hon. solicitor, Mr. W. Oliphant, for the willing services they have rendered the Association. A vote of thanks was also passed to the staff of the Club, who had extra and strenuous work during the epidemic. Afternoon tea was enjoyed, and members wished each other a happy New Year.
