We recommend to nurses, both amateur and professional, a small and useful book on. " Cooking for Invalids and the Convalescent," by C. H. Semi, G.C.A., at the modest price of two shillings. The recipes are simple, and m. the majority of cases inexpensive. The art of feeding a patient and
giving a variety of suitable dishes cannot be overestimated. As the author says : ■•The thorough knowledge of this useful and indeed necessary branch of a nurse's education cannot fail to be of incalculable benefit, not only to herself, but to mankind m general."
