At the recent Final Hospital Examination, Nurse Mactier, who came top of the State Examination, was also top of her own school. She was awarded the gold medal of her class.
Nurse Moore came second and was given a book, which she was allowed to choose, and chose some copies of Sir Walter Scott, The medal and the books were presented to the nurses at the meeting of the Hospital Board.
