Wellington Branch
Council meetings have been held each month since- Januarj 7 . In February Miss Farram, our Visiting Niir.se, was given six months' leave of absence in order to go Home. Her work was taken up by Miss McDavitt, Avho did good work till May, when, unfortunately, she had to resign owing to ill-health. The Council sympathise with her, and hope for early recover} 7 ". Miss Runciman is at present filling the position till Miss Farram' s return. A circular, dr'awn up by Dr. Young, President of the Wellington Committee of the Nurses' Memorial Fund, was submitted to the Council, and it was decided
to send a copy to each member of the branch. This circular, which asked for subscriptions to the fund, has been readily responded to by numerous nurses, especially members in the country districts. The Council would like to heartily recommend the consideration of this circular to all nurses. Several nurses have been elected members of the Association within the last months. We have much pleasure in stating Miss Payne has been asked, and has agreed, to again become a member of the Council. Her experience in nursing makes her a very valuable member.
