On Saturday afternoon, October 28th, the foundation stone of the Nurses' Home was laid by the Hon. G. W. Russell. In performing the function the Minister took occasion to allude to the large number of nurses who had been sent away from the Dominion, 400 m all, to serve during the war on the hospital ships and m the various
hospitals, some of whom made the supreme sacrifice, as m the Marquette, so that nothing the people could do for nurses was too good for them. They worked long hours among the sick and suffering, and it would be a disgrace to the common community not to provide them with a comfortable Home m which to rest,
