More Funds Needed To Build Lodge at Lake Waikaremoana
r I ''HE illustration above shows an artist’s J- impression of the proposed lodge to be built at Lake Waikaremoana for the use of Society members. It is designed to sleep 30 to 40 people comfortably and will provide ample room for a section or branch to use it for an organised camp and it could be used by families and larger groups. Members of the Wairoa Section, which has been organising the appeal for funds to pay for the lodge, have been very encouraged by the help so far received. More than £6OO has already been banked, but a much bigger sum is needed and all members of the Society are invited to contribute. If all the 8,000 members of the Society gave 10s. toward the fund, the building would be paid for. The lodge will be situated in a sheltered valley in the Urerewa National Park, a delightful area for holidays and one renowned for its outstanding flora.
