Starting Her Young
Miss Heather Owen, youngest member of the Wairoa Forest and Bird Section, in the rucksack of her father, Mr. Richard Owen, of Tuai, at a Wairoa Section outing to Onepoto, Waikaremoana. Heather has attended many Wairoa Forest and Bird Section outings and has reached the top of the highest mountain in the Urewera National Park, Mt. Manuoha (4,602 ft) by rucksack.-— B.T.
