EASTER 1962

A National Camp will be held at Stratford Mountain House, Mt. Egmont, during the Easter holidays, 20-23 April, 1962. Accommodation will be limited to the capacity of Mountain House, plus caravan and camping room if required. Prospective campers will do well to note the lateness of Easter— April— the close proximity of Mt. Egmont. The camp is being organised by the Wellington Branch, whose Honorary Secretary will welcome advance enquiries. Full details will appear in the February "Forest and Bird".

EXCELLENT WORK

In a letter to the Society the head teacher of the Parua Bay School, Whangarei, has informed us that during the past week or two pupils have: 1. Rescued a kiwi from a burn-off on a farm. 2. Rescued a fairy prion with a storm-damaged wing. 3. Arranged a study trip to the heads to see the gannets and other bird life there. This is excellent, Parua. Carry on with the good work. —The President.

We acknowledge with thanks an anonymous donation of £5 received at Head Office on 30 June. This is much appreciated.
