Increase in Subscriptions for Future Entries
IN company with every one else this Society has been hit by steadily mounting expenses, general higher costs of administration, and the increased cost of the printing of the Journal. The Executive after full deliberation has, therefore, decided to increase the ordinary membership subscription of 5/- to 7/6 for all new members joining after the appearance of this announcement. No demand for increased
subscription will be made on present ordinary members, but the Society will welcome with gratitude intimation from any of them that they wish to “contract in” and pay the higher subscription. The Executive arrived at this decision reluctantly but was forced to make it because the vastly increased costs of 1948 are out of all proportion to the ordinary subscription, which had not been changed since the Society was forpied in 1923.
