AUS DER REDE DES FÜHRERS.

Nachfolgend geben wir die in einer Auck® lander Zeitung ger.ieldeten Ausziige aus der Rede des Fiihrers wieder, die er zu Beginn dieses Wonats bei einer i'onferenz mit leitenden Per® sonlichkeiten aus der Kriegsindustrie hielt:

"This wer must not be judged by day to day developments. Within the scope of a war of such immense and historic dimensions a tempo® rary success or reverse can be of no decisive significance. In this greatest struggle for the fate of the German nation, everyone’s task is to fight or work for victory without re® spite.

I realise that immensely strong nerves and exceptional willpower aro necessary to sur® vive such times as these, but I also know that the guiding 1 star of all our actions is one un® changeable principle — we will not surrender however great the difficulties that face us. Can anybody really believe that leadership like the German, which had the good fortune of scoring success after success through four (

long years, could now fail ? The answer is emphatically ’No’! V.'e shall survive these times, and in the end win this war. Not only soldiers, but technicians and technical inventions have been its feature from the outbreak. Our enemies during the war succeeded in catching up the Germans in many fields, and even overtaking Germany in others, for the time being, at least. However, German inventive genius is about to restore techni® cal equilibrium. Conditions are being created in this way which will allow us to turn the wheel of war the full circle."

Der keichsminister fur Bewaffnung und liu® nition, Speer, gab bei dieser Gelegenheit u.a. bekannt, dass die Produktion von Zriegsmate® rial trotz der feindlichen Luftangriffe wei® tor gesteigert worden ist. Dies wurde ermbg®

licht durch die vorbildliche Haltung der deut® schen Arbeiter und durch die verstarkten Mass® nahmen zur Rational!sieiung und Vereinfachung in der Produktion.
