An Inquest was held at Christchurch, on the 10th ult., before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Margaret Burke, aged 24 years, who died on the 9th instant, from injury sustained by wounds inflicted on the breast by Simon Cedeno. Verdict—Wilful murder.
An Inquest was held, on the 16th ult., at Christchurch, on the body of Henrietta J ones, before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., Coroner, who was drowned at Sumner on the 15th January, 1871. Verdict —Accidentally drowned.
An Inquest was held at Christchurch, before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., Coroner, on the 18th ut., on the body of Sydney Cuff, aged 6 years, who died from the effects of a kick from a horse. Verdict —Accidental death.
An Inquest was held at Christchurch, before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., Coroner, on the 26th ult., on the body of Joseph Prince, aged 16 years, who died from lock-jaw, the effects of a gun-shot wound, received on the 17th ult. Verdict—Accidental death.
