Missing Friends.

(Extract from Auckland Police Gazette, No. 11, July 2, page 65.) Information is requested respecting James Anderson, a native of Scotland. He was attached to the

Christchurch, August 1, 1866,

Police Eorce at Auckland from July 10 to August 10 1865 ; and it is reported proceeded to Hokitika a short time afterwards; report also says that he subsequently joined the Otago Police. Anderson is about six feet in height, has brown hair and whiskers pale complexion.

Information is requested respecting John Lennon, a native of Rosscommon, Ireland. He was attached to the Police Eorce at Auckland, from the 16th July to 18th August, 1865, and subsequently, it is believed, proceeded to Hokitika. The missing friend is 35 years of age, 5 feet 91 inches high ; has hazel eyes, black hair and fresh complexion.

The missing friend, Joshua Horton, has been found, he is living in Hokitika. (See Canterbury Police Gazette, No. 4, Eeb. 15, 1866; and Victorian Police Gazette, Jan. 25, page 47.)
