Stolen.
Stolen, from the dwelling of Charles Spalding, Markiki, Great South Koad, on the morning of the 22nd ultimo, a double case silver lever watch, No. 1351; maker, A. Stack, Edinburgh. A man of the following description suspected: about 5 feet 6 inches high, 25 to 30 years of age, slight build, light straight hair, clean shaA r ed, dirty appearance; carried a bundle wrapped up in a blue blanket. Warrant issued.
Stolen, during the night of the 7th ultimo, from the person of Benjamin Mann, whilst asleep at the Commercial Hotel, Akaroa, a hunting silver lever watch, English made, number supposed to be 1083 maker, Johnstone, Liverpool, second hand, oft case out of repair, silver guard attached ; identifiable.
The store of L. A. Hart, Kaiapoi, was forcibly entered on the night of the 28th September, and the following property abstracted therefrom : 2 pieces of black silk neckerchiefs, containing about 12 yards, JBa on one piece, Ba on the other one yellow box containing one dozen pairs elastic braces, of various colors, white label on box, marked Wa ; one small cedar wood cigar box, made to contain 25 cigars ; three gold studs, engraved round the edges, two of which have blue Turquoise stones, and one without; two pairs of light tweed trousers, men’s size, one is labelled “ 3 size,” the other 4 or 5 size.
