Motion made and question proposed, That the following Resolution be recommended to the House for adoption : — " That in the event of the financial scheme of the Government failing from inability to obtain the necessary loan of £500,000, the loan of £200,000 offered by the Home Government for liquidation of the New Zealand Company's Debt shall be raised on the terms proposed, and the mode of payment shall stand over foi adjustment amongst the several Provinces at a future period. (Mr. Fitzherbert.) Amendment proposed, That the words after the word « over" in the fourth line be omitted.
