ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House oj Representatives. Thursday, the 3rd Day of July, 1913. Ordered. " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed, consisting of twelve members, to whom shall be referred all Bills specially dealing with the revision of the law, with power to confer and s her with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records; three to be a quorum: the Committee to consist of Mr. Anderson, Mr. Bell, Mr. Hanan, Mr. Ilindmarsh, Mr. Lee, Mr. McCallum, Mr. Pearce, Mr. Reed, Mr. Sidey, Mr. Statham. Land Transfer Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it has considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed witli the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 26th August, 1913. Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the rcme, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed with the amendments as shown in the copy attached hereto. Bth October, 1913. No. 321—Petition of J. Chalmers and 303 Others, Proprietors of Licensed Billiard-rooms in the Cities and Boroughs of New Zealand ; and No. 351—-Petition of Alcock and Co. (Limited) and 3 Others, Manufacturers of Billiard-tables and Accessories in New Zealand. Praying that section 32 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill should not become law. The Statutes Revision Committee, having considered the above petitions, has the honour to report that, as the subject-matter of these petitions is dealt with in the Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill, the Committee has therefore no recommendation to make.
