Ordered, "That Standing Order No. 21!) be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed, consisting of eleven members, to examine into and report upon such questions relating to the Public Accounts as it may think desirable, or that may be referred to it by the House or the Government, and also into all matters relating to the finances of the Dominion which the Government may refer to it; to have power to call for persons and papers; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Craigie, Mr. Hine, Mr. Lee, Mr. Hanan, Hon. REPORTS. Paper No. 2 B.—The Public Revenues Act, 1910 : Correspondence between Audit Office and the Post and Telegraph Department relating to the Amount of Pension payable to Mr. A. E. Cresswell. late Chief Clerk, Post and Telegraph Department, Timaru. The Public Accounts Committee, to which was referred the above-named paper, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be referred to the Government for consideration. 6th August, 1913.

Parliamentary Papeb B I a.—Statement in Detail of the Expenditure of the Public Account for the Financial Year 1911-12. 1 have the honour to report that the Committee recommends that the publication of the above-named parliamentary paper be continued. Bth August, 1913. Estimates of the Expenditure of the Government of New Zealand for the Year ending 31st March, 1914. The Public Accounts Committee, to which was referred the estimates of the expenditure of the Government of New Zealand for the year ending 31st March, 1914, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that the estimates be allowed to proeei d without amendment. The Committee also has the honour to submit the following recommendations :— That in future the expenditure of each item be supplied in all Departments wherever possible. Class 7—Justice Department : That the amount of fees collected in each Court district be furnished the Committee on future occasions. That the details of fees collected by the Crown Law Office Department be submitted, and the amount paid to the various Crown Prosecutors throughout the Dominion. Class 14—Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce : That the subsidy for the Various postal services now paid by this Department should be charged to the Postal Department. 21st August, 1913. • Bank of New Zealand Bill.
