DEATHS.
Died, at Opanga Kaikohe, Bay of Islands, an Sunday, the 30th of May, the daughter of Sydney David Taiwhanga, aged 4 years and 2 months. She said "Father, lam going unto Christ," and died. On the 17th July, at Pakowhai, Hiraani, daughter of Peni te Uamairangi' and "Wikitoria Hineirangia, oged IS, deeply lamented. She was a pood English scholar, having been two years at school, in Wellington, and afterwards assistant teacher in the school at Pakowhai. On the 2:5 rd July, Katarina Kanoheka. On the 10th May, H. L. Te Pub* Rangii-iri. wife of the Rev. H. H. Herekau. Going to a marriage at Oroua she fell from her hor.se, death resultir"- froni the fall. On the Gth of June, Kipihaun, at Otaki. On the 27th June, Ruruhira, after a lingering illness, an l much revetted at Otaki. ° On the 19th June, Mcha Oterangi, at Papawai. On the 20th June. Erihapati, at Papawai. On the 21st Tune, Autakn, at rapawai. On the 2-ith June, Raukerangi. All these deaths occurred through fever. On the 20th May. at Havataunga, Kennedy's Bay, Miria Te Pareakc a woman of famous ancestry. On the 25th June, Ana ICauke, much regretted by her people, aged 41.
