They boarded a tram, he carrying a bottle very carelessly wraplied up. One thin elderly woman could not keep her scorn to herself. “Disgusting 1 call it,” snapped she loudly. “Young people going to dunces and taking drink with them.” The young man blushed, but the girl (his wife), grabbed the bottle, unwrapped it, pulled out the cork and thrust it undcrlhe nose of Airs. And ;we are taking it to my aunt for her to dress salads with for to-night, which is a church social.” Armed with her vinegar in one hand and clutching her husband with the other, the girl bounced off the tram, leaving an amused crowd and very red faced and foolish-looking the woman who had spoken too soon. If dripping is past using for cooking it is still useful. A little on a rag rubbed over the stove while the stove is hot keeps it in good condition and free from rust. The rags used are good for starting a fire; a little fat dropped among the chips is much safer and less expensive than kerosene r.nd may also be used for the bath-heater.
