MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the j’ateu Foolbull Club was held on Sained ay, Air. I). Qnickciulcu presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. i-i ■ ,'lavy reported Dial three teams had gone to Alanaia to take part, in the tournament there. .They had all paid their own expenses.

The secretary reported that Messrs Hunt, liamerton and himself had attended . a meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union, lie detailed what had been decided, upon at the meeting which has already been reported . Mr. Qnickenden reported that at a meeting of Southern Taranaki Clubs, it had been decided to pool all gate money with a view to assisting any club that had a lean time. It was also decided that the competitions commence on the 17th iust.

In reply to a question the secretary stated that last year the travelling expenses of the four teams amounted to £45 3s Sd.

The chairman explained that the pooling meant that the youth Taranaki Union, on receipt of the various gate proceeds would pay each club’s expenses and hand any balance over at the end of the season to the Taranaki Rugby Union. Tho question of the nomination of a Fourth Grade team was discussed. Mr. Bourke moved that a fourth garde team in . addition to the seniors and thirds be nominated. Seconded by Sir. Hurley and carried.

It was decided on the motion of Mr. Hurley, seconded by Mr. Gleimy, that the subscription for third grade .flavors be 10s.

Tho secretary reported that he had arranged with tho Eltham Club that the gate at their match on the 1 Ist ,q. be divided on a fifty fifty basis. On tho motion of Air. Francis, seconded by Air. Hamerton, the action of .lie' secretary was., confirmed. Air. Glcnny’s offer to take one of the gall's was accepted with thanks, and it was decided lo ask .Mr. Railton lo take a gate and .Mr. Edwards to lake the box oJlice. On the motion of Air. Franeis, seconded by Air. Bourke i( was decided that Mr. Bates bo engaged tor the transport of I earns as before. It was decided on the motion ot Mr. Bourke that, the chairman, secretary and Mr. Francis '\e a committee to arrange for any benzine required.

It was unanimously resolved on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. Francis, that the see ret ar v have full charge of the club’s gear. There being no further businiMs the meeting closed with it hearty vole of thanks to the’chair.
