SOLDIERS’ PARCELS

CHAMPION’S GOLF MATCH A sporting event of .great interest to the general sporting public and golfers in particular has been arranged for Saturday next on the local Golf Links. Mr. J. P. Hornabrook, New Zealand Amateur and open champion, has’ agreed to play a match and give a "demonstration of golf shots etc., for the benefit of patriotic funds.

Mr. lloruabrook will be matched with AV. G. Sutton, a prominent golfer, also M. Casey and J. G. Edwards, top players in the local club. The match will be a four ball, played in conjunction with a medal round, and Mr. Hornabrook’s demonstration of various golf shots will round off a particularly interesting game. Admission to the course will bo by ticket, procurable from members of the committee or the Patea Patea Patriotic Social Committee. All proceeds will bo handed over the Patriotic Socal Committee for the benefit of the al Soldiers’ Parcels Fund.
