Miss N. Hannam, Palmerston -North, is visiting Patea. . Miss Clarke, who has been on an ex- - tended visit to Patea- has returned to her home at Levin. Mrs. A. Huston and Idisai Huston, Palmerston North, who have been visiting Mrs, H. A, Alton, have left for Jdatamntn, Mr. A.. Pearce is an inmate of the Patea Hospital. Mis a McDowell Luis returned from Runcimau. Miss V. Sheild and the Rev. E. 0. Sheild, Upper Hutt, are on a motor tour of the north. Mr, and Mrs. Kearney, Wellington, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W, B. Smith. The death took plgcp at thg Wanjja: liui Hospital on Thursday last of Misa Elsie Couchmuu, daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Couchmau/'of Kakaramea. The deceased had been in failing health for some considerable time, and her death was not altogether unexpected. The funeral took place, at the Patea Cemetery on Saturday'.
