Mrs. and Miss Southall, ‘Wellington, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A, A. Carey. Mrs. 0. Gardiner is visiting Wellington. Miss G. Hicks and Mr. J. Hicks, ■who have been visiting Patea, return to Wellington to-morrow, Mr’ and Mrs. 8. Priest and their small son have returned from Wanganui .
Among the appointments to the First Echelon of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force are the names of Major P. V. Graves as Medical Officer at Headquarters and Lieutenant J. F. B. Pe.acockc, to Headquarters Divisional Engineers.
