BUTTER-BOX ROMANCE
A DONCASTER STORY A girl assistant in a Doncaster grocery shop, opening a box of New Zealand buttier —one of la million and a 'half sent to Great Rritain in the first six months of the year—was astonished to road under the lid a request to write to All-. P. W. Lester, of tjho manga rei Co-op. Dairy, Whangarei, New Zealand. The assistant, Miss Ivy Newbury, aged 22, of Arrntthorpe, did so. *She has received a letter from Mr. Lestler stating that ihe, ,his mother, and father are natives of Doncaster. Mr. Lester was born in Catherine Street, Hyde Park, only 200 yards froim the shop where Miss Newbury is employed. H'.i mentions that his grandfather, Mr. P. Lester, is a member of the Ad wick-le-Strcet, Urban Council, and his mo'her’s father, Air. H. Giardiner, was tor many years inspector of/ telegraph messengers at Doncaster Post Office.
