EUROPEAN COMMENTARY
HUNGARIAN PROPAGANDA A striking commentary upon present trends of thought in Europe is provided by a piece of Hungarian propaganda which has had wide circulation in Great Britain. A copy which was received in Auckland is in the foam, of a postcard, with provision for a brief message on the back of it. On the face are two snaps. One is of Great Britain and Ireland. An arrow leading from Scotland has Norway printed at the end of it. North England has a similar arrow with Germany marked at its end, the extreme south has been assigned to France, Ireland has been given to United States and the only portion apparent!}' romlaining to the British Crown is that part from London to Liverpool -and across to Wales. Beneath is the inscription: “Englishmen: Would you accept this peace? It would be the same which was forded upon Hungary. “ Another map shows the partition of former Hungarian lands among the Austrian, Czechoslavakian, Yugoslavakian and Ruman-
ian States. In the centre is the 'existing Hungary, mlarkcd in white. 'The inference is obviously that Britain should not expect Hungary to accept that which she would not agree to herself.
