PATEA V. HAWEEA The Patea Seniors avlio recently won the ten.a.side tournament at Manaia continued their victorious career on Saturday Avlien they succeeded in defeating a HaAvcra team by 12 points to 7.
The game, Avliich was of an interest, ing nature, was confined chiefly to the forwards, who gave promise of being an excellent pack, and with a little more coaching, should be hard to beat. E. Baldwin scored Patea’a only try, which was converted by P. Bourke who also converted a penalty goal and potted another, thus scoring 9 points out of the 12 scared by his side. Hawera’s score came from a potted goal and a penalty, Patea’s lino not being crossed.
