DISPLAY OF TROPHIES There is an excellent and probably unique display of shooting trophies to be seen in Mr. J. Dempsey’s’ window at the present time. There are no less than four cups and two handsome shields belonging to the Patea Rifle Club, also the Patca Rifle Association ’s Championship belt. The cups are the Hamerton Cup, Rifle Association Cup, Palmer Cup, and the Simmons Cup, presented by Dr.' Simmons for annual competition between teams from Returned soldiers,, mounteds, territorials and rifle clubs. There is also a w-onderful array of medals and badges won by Efim. Roots, three times winner of the New Zealand King’s Prize, These medals w-ere won at .various rifle association meetings including Bisloy, England, Australia, Trentham and various other New T Zealand meetings.
