TRAILER PARTS FROM CAR
CRASHES INTO PASSING MOTOR. WOMAN CRITICALLY INJURED. ’ An unusual motor accident on Thursday resulted in Mrs. Florence Dennett, Kauwhata, receiving such serious head injuries that site now lies in a Palmerstoni North private hospital in a serious condition. ';\:Mr. W. Dustin, Palmerston North, ■was driving out of the city along Rangitikei Line dragging a trailer behind his car, Mrs. Bennett was a passenger in. another car being driven into town by Airs. E. E. Firth, Cam-' cron's Line. As the two were about to 'pass' the ,right-hand wheel of the trailer collapsed, causing the draw bolt to snap. Thxv trailer immediate-'! iy shot out across the road and mounted the rear mudguard of Airs. Firth's ear. Airs. Ben.n'ctt, who happened to be .sitting on that side of the roar seat, received the full force of the impact. She was knocked unconsci-i ous and conveyed immediately to hospital for an operation.
